Rotary Works Foundation Grant

The Rotary Works Foundation Grant supports charitable projects primarily focused on children, youth, and families, emphasizing active Rotarian involvement. Grants range from $500 to $5,000, awarded prior to events. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(1) organizations. Preference is given to projects engaging Rotarians. The application deadline is the 2nd Wednesday of each month, and all grantees must report outcomes post-project.

Note: The Grant Application Deadline is the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 11:00 pm CST (The Rotary Works Foundation Board meets the 3rd Thursday of every month).

The Rotary Club of La Crosse founded the Rotary Foundation in 1982 to provide a separate agency to award grants for local and international activities which fall under the criteria established.
The Rotary Works Foundation grant is a funding program designed to support charitable projects primarily involving children, youth, and families, with a preference for projects that include active Rotarian participation. The minimum grant request is $500 and the maximum is $5,000 per Rotary year.
Grants are awarded only in anticipation of an event, not after the fact. Funds are awarded prior to projects or events happening. Grants should be received 7 days prior to a Board meeting. All grantees are required to report on outcomes of the event or project after completion. Grant requests are evaluated for past performance and use of Rotary Works Foundation funds.

Eligibility

Grants are given only to 501(c) 3 or 501(c) 1 (schools, government agencies) organizations or entities formed to carry out a single charitable purpose.

Ineligibility

Multi‐year grants are discouraged except in support of major projects
