RNG Coalition-Tudor Williams Academic Scholarship

Overview: The RNG Coalition-Tudor Williams Academic Scholarship is available for employees of RNG Coalition member companies or partner organizations and their families (or referred applicants).

Background: The scholarship was established in November 2017 to honor the late Tudor Williams, an RNG industry pioneer, innovator, engineer, project developer and founding member of RNG Coalition. Funded by RNG Coalition and contributions from member companies.

Geographic Scope: United States and Canada

Focus Areas: The scholarships are intended to encourage the pursuit of higher education, including but not limited to:

  • Applied Science

  • Technology

  • Engineering

  • Mathematics

  • Business Administration

  • Communications

  • Environmental Studies

  • Law

  • Energy & Renewable Energy Policy

  • Public Policy

  • Sustainability

    • Use of Funds: Tuition, state fees, and/or stipends

    Eligibility Criteria

    Applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria:
    1. Be a U.S. or Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
    2. Be a family member or friend (sponsored) of an employee of an RNG Coalition member company or partner organization in good standing
    3. Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (or equivalent)

    2025 Application Process

    Applicants must submit the following materials:

    1. Completed online application - Access via the application portal (click here)
    2. Official transcript - Sent directly by the applicant's educational institution
    3. Letter of reference - From a non-family member
    4. Letter of recommendation - From a family member or sponsoring friend affiliated with an RNG Coalition member company or partner organization
    5. One-page essay - Confirming eligibility, intended field of study, and why they should be awarded the scholarship

  • Application and supplemental materials must be submitted via email to Rachel Franco (rachel@rngcoalition.com)

  • Applicants are encouraged to package letters and essays into a single file where possible

  • Deadline: 11:59 PM PT on March 25, 2025

    • Review Process:

  • RNG Coalition's Scholarship Committee (part of the Education LAB) will review complete applications

  • Applicants should expect to receive a determination notice shortly after review
