Rising Star Award

The Rising Star Awards honor standout members of the housewares industry who are not only making an impact on the business but are also committed to using their influence to create positive change in their communities and beyond.

Geographic Scope: United States (housewares industry)

Eligibility:

• Candidates must be younger professionals under 40 years old
• Must be active professionals in the housewares industry working in any capacity in manufacturing, wholesale, or retail
• Self-nominations are permitted

Award Criteria:
Candidates will be evaluated based on:

• Innovation and Creativity: Demonstrated ingenuity in developing or marketing products, building assortments, and creating efficient processes or approaches that drive their business forward
• Impact on the Industry: Clear contribution to the growth, direction, or evolution of their company or the housewares sector
• Commitment to Positive Change: Proven dedication to improving lives, whether through charitable efforts, sustainability initiatives, or community engagement
• Leadership and Vision: A rising star with the potential to become a future leader in the industry by demonstrating integrity, strategic thinking, and mentorship to others

Award Details:

• Award recipients will be announced on February 14 (annually)
• Awards will be presented at the Housewares Cares Gala at the Four Seasons in Chicago on March 3 (annually)

Nomination Process

3. Answer a few questions outlining the nominee's qualifications, with examples of their contributions to the industry and society

Nomination Guidelines

• Nominations are open to all professionals in the housewares industry who have demonstrated excellence in their work and are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of others
• Nominators should provide a case for their nominee's qualifications based on the judging criteria (Innovation, Impact, Leadership, Positive Change)
• Self-nominations are permitted
