Richard and Kathleen Zacky Family Foundation Fund

Geographic Scope: Avila Beach, CA

Purpose:
The purpose of this fund is to support projects of interest to the Zackys that improve the Avila Beach experience and fall within the Avila Beach Foundation's mission and by-laws.

Funding Levels:

• $100-$1,000: Simple letter of request sufficient
• $1,001-$5,000: Comprehensive proposal required

Priority:
Projects seeking matching grant support (projects with funding partners) receive priority consideration

Project Examples:

• Purchase and installation of free public viewing telescope at the foot of Avila Pier
• People and pet public drinking fountain installed near Dog Beach
• Water fountain for people and dogs at the beach (in partnership with County Planning and Port San Luis Harbor District)

Application Timeline: Requests accepted throughout the year

Application Process

For requests $100-$1,000:

1. Submit a simple letter outlining:
   • Details of proposed project
   • Persons responsible for completion

For requests $1,001-$5,000:

1. Submit a comprehensive proposal including:
   • Project details
   • Budgets
   • Timelines
   • Specifications
   • Persons responsible for completion
