Focus: The Facial Pain Research Foundation is committed to funding the best research to find a cure or advance the understanding of Trigeminal Neuralgia and Neuropathic Facial Pain.

Eligibility

• Geographic Scope: Worldwide
• Researcher Qualifications: Researchers from any scientific discipline are eligible. Those who typically receive funding hold advanced degrees (MD, PhD, or equivalent) and academic positions at universities, medical centers, or research institutions.

Award Details

• Amount: Grants up to $200,000
• Timeline: Two-year award period (if needed to complete research)
• Reporting Requirements: Research progress report expected mid-term; final report and publication due at completion

Application Process

1. Proposal Format:
   • Maximum 5 pages in length
   • Use 1-inch margins
   • Minimum 11-point font size
   • Figures are allowed but must fit within the 5-page limit
2. Required Proposal Content:
   • Research proposition
   • Specific aims of the study
   • Timing and budget for the work
   • Relevancy of plans to FPRF goals
3. Budget Requirements:
   • Include itemized budgets for each year in a tabulated column/dollar amount format
   • Narrative budgets are not acceptable
   • Detail how FPRF award funds will be used
   • Do not include overhead or indirect costs
