Regional Grant Program

The Beim Foundation's Regional Grant Program invites proposals from nonprofit organizations serving under-resourced communities in the U.S. for environmental education projects by 2025. The foundation prioritizes initiatives that address ethnic and racial inequality, heal community trauma, and provide culturally competent services. Grant amounts range from $5,000 to $15,000, supporting direct services to participants rather than staff training or curriculum development. Applications are limited to specific geographical areas.

NOTE: In 2024, under the Minnesota Legacy Program, The Beim Foundation will invite proposals from a limited number of organizations. Invitations will be extended in late January. Unsolicited proposals will not be considered.
Grants are made in the areas of arts, environment, human services and education.

In 2025, The Beim Foundation will accept proposals from environmental education programs or projects that serve children and youth from under-resourced communities.

As directors are most interested in supporting programming that provides services directly to program participants, the Foundation will not consider requests that are focused on staff training, curriculum development, or program development.
Funding
Funding awards are anticipated to be in the $5,000 to $15,000 range.

Who Can Apply: Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations and local units of government that are located within, AND provide services in, the communities listed below are eligible to apply.Geographic Focus:Eligible organizations must be located in, and provide services in, the listed communities.
