Program Overview:
A short-term exchange program that brings fellows from the United States and other countries to Ukraine to work on building a bridge of trust between local governing bodies and citizens.

Mission

Build a bridge of trust between government and civil society in Ukraine by increasing communication and combining efforts of governing bodies (local and central) and civil society.

    Background

Razom founder and president Lyuba Shipovich and board member Natalia Shyrba moved to Odessa in late August 2015 to volunteer with regional and district administrations in implementing IT tools. The team identified key challenges:

  • Citizens willing to help didn't know how to engage
  • Civic group ideas and solutions weren't reaching government offices

    Focus Areas

  • Civil society development
  • Collaborating with local governments
  • Reforming/nation building
  • Cultural experience working abroad
  • Working in international NGO
  • Project management

Fellow Roles

Supporters: Provide support to local project leads using global connections and best practices from around the world

Connectors: Maintain relationships with government workers, civic organizations, local activists, and businesses to promote working relationships and information exchange
