Award Details
- Graduate from high school in the application year (2026 cohort closed)
- Be accepted into an accredited two-year college, four-year college, or accredited trade school
- Have enrollment beginning in summer or fall semester of the same year as graduation
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Note: Unlike the Bill T. Hicks Scholarship, Y-12 Credit Union membership is NOT required for this program

Application Process
The application occurs in two rounds:
#### Round 1: Initial Application
1. Complete the application form
2. Check your eligibility against stated requirements
3. Upload recommendation letters
Note: The 2026 application is closed. Stay tuned for the 2027 application.
#### Round 2: Advanced Submission
1. Submit a photo
2. Submit a video essay (4-6 minutes long)
3. Submit transcripts
- All submissions must be uploaded to Box
- Video essay prompt will be provided upon notification of second round selection
- Files must be named in format: `FirstNameLastName_File_RFS` (e.g., `JohnSmith_Video_RFS`)
- Video essay must be between 4 and 6 minutes in length
