Overview:
The Rebuild Texas Fund is OneStar's disaster recovery and resilience initiative that channels Texan generosity into communities affected by natural disasters. The fund provides rapid and essential support to help communities recover, rebuild, and build resilience.

Mission:

• Support recovery and rebuilding of Texas communities impacted by natural disasters
• Ensure 100% of every dollar donated directly supports recovery efforts (no administrative overhead)
• Collaborate with local leaders, community funders, and recovery organizations
• Identify community-driven priorities, unmet needs, and funding gaps

Historical Impact:

• Since inception in 2017: Raised more than $105.3 million
• Grants awarded: Over 300 organizations have received funding
• Supported disasters: Hurricane Harvey, COVID-19 pandemic, wildfires, and other disasters

How It Works:

1. When disasters strike, OneStar establishes disaster-specific relief funds
2. Funds are managed in partnership with local community foundations or established locally
3. An Advisory Committee composed of local leaders reviews damage assessments and makes recommendations
4. Distribution ensures local decision-making and community-driven priorities
5. Full transparency reporting on all funds received and distributed
