Overview: A flexible funding opportunity for small and developing nonprofit organizations aligned with health equity advancement. Designed to eliminate burdensome application processes and reduce turnaround time for grant awards. The fund supports grassroots organizations that primarily serve Black, Brown, Immigrant, Refugee, and rural populations.

Mission Alignment

Organizations must align with REACH's mission of advancing health equity through coverage and care and provide healthcare services.

Aligned Services Examples:

  • Connecting clients to direct healthcare services through case management

  • Community health workers or care coordination

  • Supporting clients in filling out health insurance forms through health navigators or enrollment specialists

  • Offering or directing clients to mental health services (therapy, counseling)

  • Providing access to healthcare appointments through transportation

  • Providing clients with preventative healthcare screenings

    • Allen, Johnson, and Wyandotte counties in Kansas
    • Cass, Jackson, and Lafayette counties in Missouri
    • Kansas City, Missouri

      Eligibility Requirements

    • Organization Status: Section 501(c)(3) organization OR rural governmental entity
    • Annual Operating Budget: Up to $500,000
    • Target Population: Organizations that primarily serve Black, Brown, Immigrant, Refugee, and rural populations
    • Exclusion: Organizations with an active REACH grant are not eligible
    • Reapplication: Organizations may apply once every 12 months; ineligible after receiving three grants total
