Focus Areas:

Emergency relief to LGBTQ+ communities in response to COVID-19

Critical social justice work at the intersections of race and LGBTQ+ identities

Direct services addressing:

- Economic strife and job loss
- Lack of medical care
- Food insecurity
- Violence at the hands of law enforcement
- Systemic racism impacts

Eligibility:

501(c)(3) non-profit organizations

Focus on providing direct services to LGBTQ+ communities across Texas

Both urban centers and rural county organizations eligible

Background:
The pandemic and continued civil rights and racial justice movements created urgent need for emergency support to smaller organizations providing direct services to LGBTQ+ people experiencing economic hardship and systemic oppression. The fund aimed to ensure survival and sustainability of local/regional nonprofits critical to the LGBTQ+ movement in Texas.
