Public Health Leadership and Workforce Development Grant

The Public Health Leadership and Workforce Development Grant, offered by the New Jersey Department of Health, aims to enhance public health infrastructure by funding mentorship programs for newly licensed Health Officers and workforce capacity-building initiatives. Through collaboration with local stakeholders, the grant seeks to create a more robust public health workforce, ultimately improving health outcomes and quality of life for New Jersey residents. Funding made available by the Public Health Leadership and Workforce Development Grant is intended to fund a partner organization to support public health pipeline and
infrastructure-building projects. Planned activities include a
mentorship program for recently licensed Health Officers along with
workforce capacity building through trainings and membership in New Jersey public health professional organizations. All programmatic goals will aim to create a more robust local public health workforce.
