Project/Program Manager of the Year Award

Overview:
Presented annually to recognize a NACE member county project or program manager working below the county engineer or agency head management level for outstanding service and meritorious achievement in managing a construction project or pavement, safety, operations, bridge, or other program.

Eligibility

• Must be a NACE member
• County project or program manager working below the county engineer or agency head level
• Could include supervisors, foremen, or engineers who manage programs
• Each state may submit one or more nominations
• Nominations submitted by State organization President to Awards Committee Chair, or by NACE voting member within the state if no state organization exists

Project/Program Requirements

• For Projects: Must be completed by end of year for which award is submitted (2025 projects for 2025 awards)
• For Programs: Must be implemented and substantially underway by end of year for which award is submitted

Award Presentation

• Winners announced at the 2026 Annual Conference in Arlington, Texas (April 11-14, 2026)
• All nominees encouraged to attend

Nominations are now being accepted for 2025. Submit nominee information via the online form on the NACE website.

Required Application Materials

Applicants should provide discussion and information on:

1. Project or Program Details
   • Discussion of the actual project or program, including the involvement of the project/program manager
   • Significance and importance of the project or program to the community
2. Performance Metrics
   • Nominee's performance to complete the project or program on time and within budget
   • Whether project was completed on schedule and within cost parameters
3. Innovation and Communication
   • Discussion of any innovative methods used to keep the public informed of the progress of the project or program
4. Additional Information
   • Additional information beyond the above may be submitted for consideration
