Overview

Honda’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) vision is to help people fulfill their life’s potential. We support this vision by investing in the communities where we live and work through meaningful funding opportunities. Honda CSR funding is available through two sources: Honda corporate and the Honda USA Foundation. Honda corporate and the Honda USA Foundation provide funding opportunities for programmatic support. Programmatic Support Honda corporate and the Honda USA Foundation provide funding to nonprofit organizations and schools to support high impact programs that align with our Pillar Awards. Year-over-year certain Pillar Awards may not always be open for funding, are subject to change, and in some cases, Honda may extend invitation-only opportunities to select community partners. The application window for programmatic funding opens each fall with decisions announced the following spring.

Eligibility

Organizations must be located in the United States Organizations must meet one of the two classifications:  Hold nonprofit tax-exempt status under the Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) or utilize a tax-exempt, non-profit fiscal sponsor Schools and school districts as listed by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) Eligible requests must serve one or more of the following states, where Honda has major operations in the U.S. and a strong community presence: Alabama California Colorado Connecticut District of Columbia Florida Georgia Indiana Iowa Michigan New Jersey New York North Carolina Ohio Oregon South Carolina Texas

Ineligibility

Organizations ineligible for contributions under any state or federal law. Organizations with a pending 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity status.Political parties, candidates, or campaigns.Private clubs, fraternities, or sororities.Organizations that represent a conflict of interest with Honda.Organizations located outside the U.S. or those whose funds are used outside the U.S. Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, age, religion, sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, veteran or military status, marital status, family status, genetic information, or any other status protected by law.The following types of requests will not be considered: Requests for auction or raffle items Requests to support athletic teams Requests from individuals Request to support political parties, candidates, or campaigns Requests submitted outside of the online system Request for programs or events that are organized or implemented for religious purposes
