Overview

Programa de Ayuda para Granjas Afectadas por Inundaciones en el Condado de Skagit

(Skagit County Flood Relief Grant)

Program Purpose: Disaster relief program created by the Skagit Community Foundation and NABC in collaboration with Skagitonians to Preserve Farmland and other organizations to support agricultural producers who suffered uninsured damage from floods and storms in December 2025.

Award Amount: Up to $10,000 per farm

Geographic Scope: Skagit County, Washington only

Eligible Applicants:
Farms must meet ALL of the following conditions:

  • Operate a farm or ranch located in Skagit County

  • Have been in continuous operation for at least 1 year before December 2025

  • Have annual farm/ranch gross income exceeding $10,000

  • Demonstrate financial or operational need resulting from the December 2025 flood, storm, or landslide

    • Eligible Uses of Funds:
    Award funds can only be used for expenses that:

  • Are directly related to damages caused by the December 2025 flood, storm, or landslide

  • Would not have occurred without the disaster event

  • Are not covered by insurance, disaster assistance, or other grants

    • Fund Administration Requirements:

  • Award funds are only available to eligible farms and ranches located in Skagit County

  • Selected applicants must submit a completed W-9 before receiving funds

    Application Process

    Eligibility Screening Questions (Must answer "Yes" to all):
    1. Is your farm in Skagit County?
    2. Was your farm's gross income $10,000 or more last year?
    3. Has your farm been in operation for at least 1 year?

    Required Information:

  • Farm name

  • Farm address

  • Zip code

  • State (WA)

  • Year established

  • Estimated annual income from farm product sales

  • Business contact name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Amount of grant requested

    • Narrative Questions (200 words or less each):
    1. Describe your farm or agricultural business
    2. Describe how your farm has been negatively affected by recent floods
    3. Describe the specific damages for which you are requesting funds
    4. Provide detailed list of expenses including estimated replacement/repair costs for each item or area
    5. Have you received other funds to cover flood damages (insurance, community grants, etc.)? If so, indicate source and amount.

    Submission Requirements:

  • Selected applicants must submit a completed W-9 before receiving funds
