Professional Development Grants

Geographic Scope: New York State

Purpose: Provide financial support to credit union employees and volunteers to participate in educational and training programs offered by the New York Credit Union Association, designed to enhance professional skills, knowledge, and leadership capabilities.

Eligibility

• All federal and state-chartered credit unions in New York
• Credit union employees and volunteers
• Applicants must demonstrate financial need
• Must show how professional development opportunity will benefit their role and credit union
• Grant award varies depending on membership status with New York Credit Union Association

Eligible Uses of Funds

• Registration fees for professional development workshops offered by or through New York Credit Union Association
• Conference registration fees
• Training session registration fees

Maximum Award

• Each credit union may receive a maximum of $2,500 per calendar year
• Foundation strives to accommodate as many applicants as possible
• Awards subject to fund availability and competitive review
• Unique circumstances may lead to awards exceeding stated maximum
• Applying does not guarantee funding

Timeline and Deadlines

• Applications accepted: Rolling basis throughout the calendar year
