Overview

Power Forward Sober Living Scholarship

Overview: Provides three to six weeks of sober housing for individuals in recovery. This program fills a critical gap in the recovery process by providing recipients with safe, sober housing security during the essential days and weeks immediately following treatment, or as a lifeline to those in recovery whose housing instability threatens their sobriety.

Geographic Scope: Currently available in Massachusetts only

Focus Areas:

  • Substance abuse recovery

  • Post-treatment housing support

  • Housing stability for individuals in recovery
  • Eligibility:

  • Individuals actively working towards sobriety

  • Motivated to live in a structured, vetted sober house

  • Must complete all treatment goals

  • Must follow all treatment facility rules

  • Must commit to being a peer leader and of service to others

  • Must have a strong after-care plan in place

  • Must develop a recovery plan

  • Must attend outside meetings

  • Must be motivated for a life in recovery
  • Housing Partners: Power Forward offers scholarships to vetted MASH Certified Sober Homes with which they have pre-existing relationships (partner list available on website)

    Background: Power Forward, Inc is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization registered in the State of Massachusetts.

    Expansion Plans: Goal is to expand this program beyond Massachusetts in the future.
