Overview
Each year the Archaeological Institute of America presents awards to our societies and their members in recognition of the important work they do to support the Institute and its mission. Winners of these awards and prizes are honored at the Annual Meeting.
The Pomerance Science Medal Committee invites nominations for the Pomerance Award for Scientific Contributions to Archaeology.
Areas of interest that nominators should highlight in their letter include, but are not limited to, impactful contributions to the field, significant archaeological questions addressed, interdisciplinary collaborations, global/multi regional impacts, and, if relevant, graduate students trained and public-facing scholarship.
