Overview

Regional Opioid Abatement Fund - Treatment and Recovery Program Services The County is soliciting qualified organizations interested in providing programs with the primary purpose of abating the opioid epidemic in Pinellas County. Cross-agency collaboration is strongly encouraged; however, one agency must be the primary applicant. The OAFAB may recommend for Human Services to directly negotiate with top ranked applicant(s) and/or invite top applicants to submit more detailed proposals and/or provide oral presentations. Based on availability of funds and approval by the Board of County Commissioners, the total anticipated available funding under this solicitation is $30 million. All proposals MUST have the primary purpose or be in the furtherance of at least one of the Approved Uses or Core Strategies and aligned with the OAFAB Funding Priorities. Background Pinellas County, along with the Florida cities and counties, agreed to the Florida Opioid Allocation and statewide response agreement (the “Florida Plan”) with the State of Florida, which governs the allocation and use of opioid litigation settlement proceeds.
