PHF TEAMS Award

Overview: Paul Hsu Foundation Teaching Excellence Awards in Math and Science (PHF TEAMS) is a program designed to recognize excellence in the teaching of STEM education at the high school level.

Purpose: The program aims to:

Reward teaching excellence in science, technology, engineering, and math

Incentivize teachers' best efforts in encouraging STEM

Bring about improved performance in classrooms

Bring attention to and inspire the efforts of all STEM educators

Geographic Scope: North Okaloosa County, Northwest Florida (area high schools)

Eligibility: High school STEM educators in North Okaloosa County area high schools

Award Details:

Winners receive $5,000 each

Special recognition at a Chamber event

First year (2015) selected 2 winners from nominated finalists

Second year (2016) had 15 nominees
