About Us The Community Foundation of NCW is a tax-exempt philanthropic organization that helps individuals, families, businesses, and agencies support charitable causes throughout Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties. Pete and Mary Houck Scholarship Pete and Mary Houck lived in and loved the Wenatchee Valley as their home for many years. After Pete’s passing in 2013, Mary moved to Highgate Senior Living Center where she received excellent care. This scholarship was established to honor Pete and Mary and provide support for students pursing a degree in healthcare as their educational goals.Eligibility
