Overview

NOTE: All funding applicants must first schedule a consultation meeting with the PENNVEST Regional Project Specialist assigned to the project's region to discuss the project details as well as funding and permit requirements. This is represented by the letter of inquiry above.You can start an application at any time. Each board meeting date has an application cut-off deadline for a project to be considered for funding approval by the PENNVEST board of directors in that quarter. Application cut-off dates are represented by the full proposal deadlines above. Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority PENNVEST provides low-interest loans and grants for new construction or for improvements to publicly or privately-owned drinking water, storm water or sewage treatment facilities, as well as non-point source pollution prevention best management practices. PENNVEST also provides loan funding to remediate brownfields sites, as well as loan funding to individual homeowners for repair or replacement of their malfunctioning on-lot septic system or first time connection to a public sewer collection system. The Advance Funding Program provides low-interest loans to provide funding for the design and engineering needed to improve water and wastewater management systems. Funding In no case shall total assistance to any single project total more than $11,000,000, or $20,000,000 if a project serves more than one municipality, except that the board by a vote of at least nine members may authorize loans in excess of $20,000,000 to comprehensive projects providing or proposing consolidated service to a region encompassing all or parts of four or more municipalities. Total assistance to a storm water project shall not exceed $1,000 for each resident of the municipality or municipalities being served by the project or $10,000,000, whichever is less.
