Peggy Drummond Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Orphaned Starfish Foundation's primary scholarship program, renamed in 2026 to honor Peggy Drummond, who was a passionate advocate for youth education and potential.

Background: OSF awarded its first scholarship over a decade ago to Marisol, a young girl in Chile who dreamed of attending university. Marisol excelled, graduated with honors, and now holds a leadership position in fraud prevention at one of Chile's largest banks. Inspired by her success, OSF expanded the scholarship program globally.

Geographic Scope: Global (34 countries across Africa, Latin America, Asia, and the Caribbean)

Target Population:

• Students from OSF Technology Centers worldwide
• Orphans, trafficking survivors, abuse survivors, indigenous children, at-risk youth, and refugees
• Deserving students demonstrating academic potential and commitment

Eligibility: Students enrolled in or attending OSF partner programs and Technology Centers

Program Goals:

• Support personal transformation and resilience
• Gateway to dignity, confidence, and possibility
• Enable students to pursue higher education and technical training
• Break cycles of abuse and poverty

Impact: Over 90% of OSF students achieve positive outcomes through programs including scholarships
