Overview

Orthopaedic Trauma Association Mission The mission of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) is to promote excellence in care for the injured patient, through provision of scientific forums and support of musculoskeletal research and education of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the public. Vision The OTA will be the authoritative source for the optimum treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal injury, will effectively communicate this information to the Orthopaedic and medical community and will seek to influence health care policy that impacts care and prevention of injury. Value The OTA is adaptable, forward thinking and fiscally responsible and is composed of a diverse world wide membership who provide care and improve the knowledge base for the treatment of injured patients. OTA members provide worldwide leadership through education, research and patient advocacy. Diversity The OTA promotes and values diversity and inclusion at all levels with the goal of creating an environment where every member has the opportunity to excel in leadership, education, and culturally-competent orthopaedic trauma care. Patient Mental Health Grant OTA leadership is pleased to announce program development grants for resources for patient mental and social health. Examples of program resources and processes that could be proposed include: Screening, evaluation, and care for mental and social health opportunities;  Development of peer trauma survivor mentorship programming; or  Initiation of trauma recovery coaching resources. Other ideas are encouraged. Awards will be up to $5,000, but require a match from the institution to support the proposal at double the level of the proposal. The Patient Mental Health Task Force is available to answer questions about this new opportunity. Grantees will also have access to task force member input, as mentors, regarding implementation challenges.

Ineligibility

Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) funds may not be used for remodeling or building construction costs.
