Purpose: Employer-sponsored program designed to help organizations support certification of their nursing staff by reducing barriers to certification (fear of failure and upfront cost)

Program Type: Organizational/Employer Program (not individual grants)

Geographic Scope: US and Canada (international participation not available)

Eligibility:

  • Organizations only (not individuals)

  • Must commit to providing at least 5 ONCC test candidates during a 12-month agreement period

  • CBCN® (Certified Breast Care Nurse)

  • CPHON® (Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse)

  • TCTCN™ (Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Certified Nurse)
  • How It Works:

  • Organization applies to participate

  • Organization provides special codes to eligible staff

  • Nurses apply and take the test without upfront payment

  • Organization is invoiced ONLY if the nurse passes

  • If nurse fails, they can retake once within 6 months for free

  • If nurse passes on second attempt, organization pays the fee

  • If nurse fails on second attempt, no payment required
  • Benefits:

  • Decreases nurses' test anxiety

  • Removes financial burden of upfront test fees

  • Eliminates cumbersome reimbursement processes for individual nurses

  • Simplifies accounting procedures
  • Important Notes:

  • This is an organizational program; ONCC only bills the participating organization

  • Not available for international participation
