    Key Features

  • Hospitals can receive up to 75% reimbursement of the trainees' hourly wages
  • An employee with ADOL Career Center System works one-on-one with each prospective employer to create a customized program
  • Hospitals can establish training programs for current employees to "earn and learn" and obtain new skills
  • Hospitals can also obtain candidates sponsored by the Career Center system for jobs that may not currently be approved for apprenticeship spots

Application Process

Contact the Alabama Department of Labor for OTJ Training program details and application procedures. An ADOL Career Center System employee will work one-on-one with your hospital to:

1. Create a customized training plan
2. Develop programs for employee skill development
3. Process reimbursement for eligible wage costs
