On-the-Job Training (OJT)
Overview: On-the-Job Training addresses the critical workforce needs of eligible employers in attaining a qualified, skilled workforce with the competencies they need.
Program Type: "Earn and learn" employment model where eligible participants upgrade, retool, and increase their employability skills.
- Eligible employers with difficulty filling skilled labor force needs
- Must have qualified, experienced workers available to train
Who Can Apply
- Reimbursement of up to 50% of the participant/employee's wages for the training period
- Training for new employees in skilled positions

- Employers are approved through CareerSource Suncoast
- New participants/employees must be recruited and screened through CareerSource Suncoast Centers for eligibility determination
- Participants upgrade skills while earning wages
