Geographic Scope: Okanogan County, Washington

Focus Areas:

• Small business relief and recovery
• COVID-19 pandemic response

Eligible Uses:

• Immediate relief: rent, utilities, fixed business expenses
• Reopening preparation: PPE purchases for employees
• Recovery: projects to increase business resilience and viability (e.g., website creation, online purchasing systems, takeout windows, at-home services)

Award Details:

• Round 1 (May 2020): 14 businesses funded, $1,500 per business, $21,000 total distributed (56 applications received totaling $84,000 in requests)
• Round 2 (June 2020): 11 businesses funded, $1,500 per business, $16,500 total distributed
• Round 3: Announced with June 24 deadline
• Initial round: 10 grants of $1,500

Background:
Program launched in response to COVID-19 pandemic and Governor's Stay Home, Stay Healthy order. Collaborative effort between The Economic Alliance and Twisp Works. Community donations supplemented initial funding.
