Launched in 2019, this is the first innovation prize of its kind, supporting creativity and ingenuity within the NTD sector. The prize recognizes projects creating sustainable, positive impact in the fight against NTDs. American Leprosy Missions partners with Novartis to administer the award.
Since 2019, the organization has awarded over $180,000 to innovative projects combatting NTDs.
- 2023: ATRAP (Action Towards Reducing Aquatic snail-borne Parasitic diseases) - citizen science approach for schistosomiasis and fasciolosis control
- 2022: The Leprosy Mission Bangladesh - digital health solution connecting medical staff with leprosy patients
- 2021: Multiple winners in data analytics (University of London) and diagnostics (Delft University of Technology)
- 2021: Popular Choice Award ($1,000) for rapid diagnostic test for Buruli ulcer
