Overview:
The NPFDA Scholarship Foundation was established in 1979 and has awarded nearly $230,000 in scholarships to outstanding students as of 2019. The foundation is in its 40th year of assisting students.
- Applicants must be from NPFDA Member Companies or be a child of an employee of an NPFDA Member Company
- Must be enrolled full-time at a US-based college/university
- Or be a graduating high school senior pursuing a college degree in the fall
Eligibility
- Top five recipients: $4,000 per student
- Sixth recipient (alternate): Selected should one of the award recipients not use all funds (e.g., early graduation)

Application Process

2. Write an essay - Essays are evaluated as part of the selection criteria
3. Submit transcripts - Official academic transcripts required
4. Submit materials - Send completed application, essay, and transcripts together
- Submissions reviewed by the Foundation's Selection Committee
- Each submission evaluated on: essay content (goals/aspirations), extracurricular activities, and GPA
- Committee members ballot and tally results
- Top five students selected as award recipients
