Nonprofit Resiliency and Recovery Fund

Overview: MCN, along with key advocacy partners, proposed to the Minnesota Legislature and Walz/Flanagan Administration a $50 million state-funded Nonprofit Resiliency and Recovery Fund to provide critical investment through general operating grants to nonprofit organizations.

Status: Proposed funding - these dollars are not certain. This was an advocacy initiative to secure state investment in nonprofits.

Geographic Scope: Minnesota statewide

Funding Source: One-time federal relief funds to the state of Minnesota (from American Rescue Plan Act)

Eligibility:

Nonprofit organizations delivering important services to Minnesotans

Prioritized categories: small nonprofits, rural nonprofits, human services organizations, and culturally-specific nonprofits

Geographic distribution: Half of funds reserved for seven-county metro area, half for Greater Minnesota nonprofits
