Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship
Funder: Indiana Commission for Higher Education (ICHE)

Program Focus: Recruit and support future teachers in Indiana through financial aid and commitment to teaching
- High school seniors or current college students
- Must graduate in the highest 20% of high school class OR
- Score in the top 20th percentile on SAT or ACT
- Be accepted to/enrolled at an Indiana college or university (including ICI member institutions)
Eligibility Requirements
- Service Obligation: Recipients commit to teach in Indiana for at least 5 years after graduating college
- Must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA in college
- Must complete at least 30 credit hours per year
Scholarship Conditions
- Full tuition support for teaching degree programs
- For students at ICI member institutions and other Indiana colleges/universities

- Competitive selection process based on academic achievement and other factors
- 2019-20: 200 total scholarships awarded statewide, with 80 going to ICI campus students
- Approximately 393 applications received (2019-20 cohort)
