NewSchools: Teaching Reimagined Grant

The NewSchools: Teaching Reimagined Grant offers a unique funding opportunity of $150,000 to $250,000 for innovative ideas aimed at reimagining the role of educators and enhancing student outcomes. With a focus on leveraging generative AI, the grant supports early-stage organizations and initiatives that prioritize diverse teaching strategies and community involvement.

Leverage generative artificial intelligence to improve teaching and learningEmbrace learning that happens outside of school, and support students in achieving college and career successEnhance teaching and learning for students with learning differences within and beyond our three main focus areas

Overview
Investing in talent solutions isn’t a new priority. Since our inception, NewSchools has invested in early-stage talent focused organizations that have grown their impact and reach.
It’s time to reimagine the role of teachers and right-size the job. We must evolve beyond the one teacher to 30 students classroom model to design engaging learning environments that meet the academic and social-emotional needs of students.
What We're Looking For
NewSchools will invest in innovative ideas that evolve how teachers work and strategies that involve caregivers and community experts in supporting student success.
Evolve how educators work: Innovations that redesign the teacher role and reimagine how we organize talentLeverage generative AI: Generative AI solutions that increase teacher effectiveness by expanding access to content, research and/or feedback and learningSurface new roles and talent: Solutions that leverage caregivers and community experts in new school roles to support student success
What We Offer
Funding: A one-year grant of $150,000 to $250,000, depending on the stage of the organization or idea. After one year, ventures become eligible for additional support.Communities of Practice: Opportunities to build relationships with and learn from other leaders who are doing similar work.Management assistance: Access to relevant, timely and customized support from our team and external experts.
