Overview
The Newcomers Fund Grant, administered by the Rose Community Foundation, supports nonprofits in Colorado assisting new immigrants with essential services such as housing and employment. Since late 2022, over 40,000 individuals have arrived in the Greater Denver area. The grant aims to empower organizations that can efficiently serve 20 or more people, fostering community integration and resource navigation. Interested applicants should note that funding decisions will be influenced by the potential impact of their programs.
Established in December 2022, the Newcomers Fund provides grants to nonprofits that are meeting the vital needs of immigrants in our community, including temporary and permanent housing, basic needs, and health and mental health support. Administered by Rose Community Foundation, the Fund is led by a steering committee that includes representatives from the City and County of Denver, the State of Colorado, The Denver Foundation, Latino Community Foundation of Colorado, and Mile High United Way.
The Newcomers Fund Steering Committee is currently prioritizing support for organizations that provide access to immigration legal services, know your rights trainings and family preparedness programming, narrative change on the topic of immigration, and continuity of supports for previously ORR-eligible refugee populations and other immigrant populations that have lost access to services.
