New Hampshire Historic Preservation Matching Grants

The 1772 Foundation offers matching grants of up to $10,000 for historic preservation projects in New Hampshire. Eligible organizations must possess a 501(c)(3) designation and have completed any previous matching grants. Funded projects include exterior restoration, installation of safety systems, and structural repairs. Note that schools, religious organizations, and government bodies are ineligible for funding. This initiative aims to enhance the preservation of significant historical sites.

The 1772 Foundation has announced that funding in the form of 1:1 matching grants of up to $10,000 will be made available for the following historic preservation projects:
Exterior painting, finishes and surface restoration.Upgrade to/installation of fire detection, lightning protection, and security systems.Repairs to/restoration of porches, roofs, and windows.Structural foundation and sill repair/replacement.Chimney and masonry repointing.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply, organizations must have a 501(c)(3) IRS designation.
Organizations also must have closed any previously awarded matching grant to be eligible to apply.

Ineligibility

Funding will not be provided to school or religious organizations, or government bodies (local, state, or federal)  and is not available for government-owned buildings.
