We will continue to build on the strength of our heritage by creating financial products and services for Nevada's families and businesses through client-focused activities, technology and great teamwork. Community Involvement Nevada State Bank has a long history supporting the communities we serve. This includes supporting financial literacy programs, economic development efforts, and engaging in numerous causes that lead to stronger Nevada communities. Our Philosophy Nevada State Bank donates more than a million dollars annually as part of its mission to support the communities where we do business. These contributions benefit a wide variety of organizations in the areas of education, community development, arts, diversity, health and human services, affordable housing, economic development and city livability. Beyond the dollars, Nevada State Bank colleagues organize internal bank-wide campaigns each year, encouraging employee participation through volunteer and fundraising activities which raise funding and awareness for a variety of causes and organization in the community. Grant Requests All grants from Nevada State Bank will be made to community organizations whose primary purpose is “community development” and whose services benefit areas or individuals within the Bank’s CRA Assessment Areas. Community Development is defined as activities that promote economic development; that support permanent job creation, retention, and/or improvement for low and moderate-income (LMI) individuals; activities that revitalize or stabilize LMI geographies; activities that promote community services targeted to LMI individuals including shelter, food, education, health or social services. Low income is defined as income that is less than 50% of the area median income. Moderate income is defined as income that is between 50%-80% of the area median income.
