Geographic Scope: Western Nebraska (wildfire relief areas)

Purpose: Support truckers, farmers, and ranchers who transport emergency relief supplies during the 2026 wildfire disaster in western Nebraska.

Background: As of March 2026, wildfires have caused unprecedented destruction across western Nebraska with over 35,000 cattle displaced and thousands of acres lost. The Nebraska Trucking Association partnered with the Nebraska Department of Agriculture and Nebraska Cattlemen to coordinate relief efforts.

Focus Areas:

Offset high fuel costs for emergency relief transportation

Support trucking community members assisting wildfire victims

Award Details:

Rate: $0.50 per mile

Maximum per trip: 500 miles

Total fund pledged: Up to $5,000

Eligibility:

Must be registered to provide hauling services related to the wildfire disaster with the Nebraska Department of Agriculture

Open to truckers, farmers, and ranchers

Must provide photographic proof of pick-up and delivery

Geographic Limitations: Western Nebraska only
