Organization: National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES)

Purpose: Recognizes engineering programs that encourage collaboration between students and professional engineers, integrating professional practice and education.

Geographic Scope: United States (EAC/ABET-accredited programs)

Focus Areas:

Engineering education programs across all disciplines

Student-professional engineer collaboration

Projects that protect public health, safety, and welfare

Multidisciplinary and allied profession participation

Design and innovation projects

Eligibility:

EAC/ABET-accredited engineering programs from all engineering disciplines

University engineering departments and schools

Projects must demonstrate successful collaboration of faculty, students, and licensed professional engineers

Award Structure:

1 grand prize: $25,000

Multiple additional awards: $10,000 each

Typically 8-9 total winners selected annually

Selection Criteria:

Successful collaboration of faculty, students, and licensed professional engineers

Protection of public health, safety, and/or welfare of the public

Multidiscipline and/or allied profession participation

Knowledge or skills gained

Effectiveness of display board, abstract, and project description
