NCBA Foundation Scholarships

Supporting bright futures in North Carolina's banking community since 1984, the NCBA Foundation Scholarship Program has awarded nearly $1.5 million in college scholarship funds to more than 120 high school seniors.

Geographic Scope: North Carolina only

Eligibility:

• Children of financial institution employees
• Parent must be employed by an NCBA member bank in North Carolina
• High school seniors pursuing higher education
• Only available to institutions that have bought-in to the Scholarship Program

Award Details:

• Annual stipends provided to eligible applicants
• Multiple named scholarships available, including:

  • Edwin C. Guy Scholarship

Program Status: The deadline for 2026 scholarships has passed. Applications for 2027 will be available February 16 – March 27, 2027

• Eligibility Verification: Only children of employees at NCBA member institutions that participate in the scholarship program are eligible
