Overview

NBE Reimbursement Grant

Purpose: Offsets the cost of registering for and taking the National Board Exam (NBE) for aspiring funeral service professionals.

Geographic Scope: New York State

Focus Areas: National Board Exam reimbursement for funeral service professionals

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Current student member of the New York State Funeral Directors Association

  • Graduated from an Accredited Educational Institution with a Mortuary Science degree

  • Reside in the state of New York and/or graduated from a New York State Educational Institution with a Mortuary Science degree

  • Taken and passed the National Board Exam within 12 months of graduation

  • Intend to serve residency and work with a New York funeral home

  • Intend to obtain New York license and work in New York as a licensed funeral director
