National Security Workforce Graduate Scholarship Grant

The National Security Workforce Graduate Scholarship, launched by the LANL Foundation in partnership with Los Alamos National Laboratory, aims to strengthen the pipeline of Northern New Mexico students pursuing advanced degrees in vital science, engineering, and management fields. Eligible candidates must be residents of the region and enroll in relevant master's or doctoral programs. This scholarship not only supports academic growth but also fosters future careers at LANL, contributing to national security advancements.

The LANL Foundation, in partnership with Los Alamos National Laboratory and the New Mexico Consortium (NMC), is proud to announce the launch of the National Security Workforce Graduate Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to build a stronger pipeline of Northern New Mexico students pursuing advanced degrees in key scientific, engineering, and management fields that support critical careers at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).

Eligibility

Minimum Eligibility:

• Resident of Northern New Mexico (seven-county service area: Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, or Taos).

Enrolled or intending to enroll at a New Mexico public institution in pursuit of a master’s or doctoral degree in:Nuclear Materials Science and Engineering (includes radiophysics, radiochemistry electrochemistry, pyrochemistry, pyrometallurgy etc.); this can include Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or other associated science and engineering majors with a focus upon Nuclear MaterialsMaterials Characterization (includes all tools and techniques) research; this can include chemistry, metallurgy, engineering, and related science majorsProject and Contract Management (includes supply chain management, etc.) and Business Administration (including accounting and related degrees, including master’s in business administration, etc.)Precision Instrumentation and MeasurementComplete application, including essays, transcripts, resume/CV, and one recommendation letter (academic or professional).
