National FFA Scholarship Program

Funder: National FFA Foundation with support from corporate sponsors including Ram Trucks, John Deere, and other businesses

Geographic Scope: United States

Purpose: The National FFA Scholarship Program awards scholarships to FFA members pursuing higher education and career advancement in agriculture and related fields.

Award Details:

• More than 1,800 scholarships available annually
• Total scholarships awarded: $2.2 million (as of 2016-2017)
• Individual scholarships range from $1,000 to larger amounts depending on sponsor
• Ram Trucks provides $1,000 scholarships annually through participating dealers

  • Work experience
  • Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects

Application Process

Selection Criteria: The selection process evaluates the whole student, including:

1. FFA involvement and commitment
2. Work experience
3. Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects
4. Community service activities
5. Leadership skills demonstrated
6. Academic performance
7. Career goals and educational plans
8. Diversity of background and experience
