My Rides Transportation Program Grant

The My Rides Transportation Program Grant, offered by the District of Columbia Department of Behavioral Health, aims to provide essential transportation services for residents in need of treatment for opioid and stimulant use disorders. By eliminating transportation barriers, the program facilitates access to crucial recovery support services. Eligible applicants include licensed Digital Taxi Solutions providers and Transportation Network Companies.

Department of Behavioral Health
The Department of Behavioral Health provides prevention, intervention and treatment services and supports for children, youth and adults with mental and/or substance use disorders including emergency psychiatric care and community-based outpatient and residential services.
DBH serves eligible adults, children and youth and their families through a network of community based providers and unique government delivered services. It operates Saint Elizabeths Hospital—the District’s inpatient psychiatric facility.
The Government of the District of Columbia is soliciting applications from an eligible DFHV licensed and approved Digital Taxi Solutions (“DTS”) provider or a business partnership of a DTS and Taxicab Company Operating Authority providers as a single entity, or approved Transportation Network Company (“TNC”) partnering with DTS or acting a single entity (hereinafter “Awardee” or “Applicant”) to provide transportation services supporting the Department of Behavioral Health’s My Rides Transportation program. The purpose of the MyRides program is to remove transportation as a barrier for District residents seeking to access treatment and/or recovery support services (RSS) for opioid use disorder (OUD) and/or stimulant use disorder (STUD). Individuals with OUD and/or STUD may be ready for treatment but do not have the time, resources, or energy to travel via public transportation. This program will allow individuals to request transportation to treatment and/or RSS as soon as they are ready, wherever they are in the District.
