My Hands My Voice Fund – Signing for Very Young Children

Purpose

To encourage all very young children and their families, not just those who are deaf or unable to speak, to communicate more effectively through access to signing instruction and support.

* Applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations within the eight-county region around Rochester (Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties).

Ineligibility

* The Community Foundation’s competitive grants program generally does not fund special events, fundraising campaigns, religious activities, endowments, buildings (except for historical assets), or debt retirement.
