MVP Volunteer Award

Organization: Association of California Symphony Orchestras (ACSO)

Purpose: Since 1996, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Volunteer Awards recognize exemplary volunteers, volunteer projects, and volunteer organizations working for symphony orchestras in the ACSO network.

Award Focus:

  • Recognition of exceptional volunteer contributions

  • Volunteers in various capacities including:

  • - Board members
    - Education providers
    - Marketing and outreach support
    - Fundraisers
    - Other volunteer roles

    Eligibility:

  • Volunteers with ACSO member orchestra organizations

  • Nominations can be made for:

  • - Individual volunteers
    - Volunteer committees
    - Volunteer organizations (leagues, guilds, etc.)

    Geographic Scope: California (ACSO network)

    Award Selection:

  • Approach: Not a competition, but an opportunity for extraordinary volunteers to be recognized publicly
