Overview

Multi-Year Core Support Core Support (general operating support) is for organizations based in and serving Greater New Haven and/or the Valley; organizations must have had active programming for 3 years and a budget last fiscal year of >$250,000. General Operating Support is defined as a grant made to further the general mission and work of an organization, rather than for a specific purpose or project. General Operating Support gives nonprofits flexibility to direct their spending where it is needed most and allows greater focus on achieving an organization’s mission.

Eligibility

Available only to nonprofits based in and serving the Valley region.A minimum of three years continuous active programming under a 501c3 designation or a fiscal sponsor.An operating budget of $250,000 or more.Applicants with a fiscal sponsor must have an independent local advisory board or board of directors.Applicants who have received a grant from either The Community Foundation or the Valley Community Foundation in the previous four years must be up to date with all reporting requirements.Applicants have not also applied for a Small Grant from The Community Foundation (Organizations can apply for either a Small Grant or a Multi-Year Grant,  not both.)

Ineligibility

Organizations receiving a current Responsive grant that ends later than Dec. 31, 2026 may not apply.
