The MTI Event Sponsorship provides financial support for events that foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Maine. The sponsorship aims to achieve key objectives such as marketing MTI’s programs, celebrating success stories, and offering educational opportunities to entrepreneurs. Eligible organizations must be based in Maine, while events with political affiliations are excluded. Preference is given to events that demonstrate collaboration within the innovation community and consider attendee demographics.

Overview

Sponsorship MTI supports events that promote innovation and entrepreneurship in Maine. We provide a financial contribution in exchange for sponsorship recognition. Sponsorships must achieve one of these three goals: Marketing—Informing targeted audiences about MTI’s programs and highlighting the success of MTI portfolio companies with a goal of generating a strong application pipeline and greater understanding of MTI’s mission, goals and success. Celebration/aspiration/recognition—Celebrating the success of an MTI partner, program, or portfolio company with a goal of encouraging a culture of aspiration and success in Maine. Education or connection—Providing MTI portfolio companies, potential MTI portfolio companies, entrepreneurs and innovators with educational or connections/networking opportunities needed to strengthen their ability to grow and succeed.

Eligibility

Your organization must be a Maine-based organization: This means your organization must be registered in Maine or have a significant presence in Maine. MTI’s sponsorship policy is designed to complement, but not duplicate other MTI funding programs.

Ineligibility

Generally, MTI does not give event sponsorship funding to community partners who receive significant financial support through other MTI programs. MTI will not sponsor events that are political or partisan in nature.
