_NOTE: Applicants are required to schedule a meeting with Foundation staff prior to quarterly proposal submission. This provides staff with an opportunity to learn about the organization’s needs and interests, and better determine if the request aligns with the Foundation’s priorities._

_Quarterly Board-Approved Grants: Grant proposals above $20,000 must be submitted for one of the Foundation’s quarterly deadlines. Grant proposals below $20,000 may be submitted on a rolling basis (see [here]())._

Overview

Moses Taylor Foundation dedicates a minimum of half of our resources to broadly respond to health needs within our 11-county region. We prioritize responding quickly and meaningfully to emerging needs that arise in our community, and continue to play a critical role strengthening the safety net of health and human service providers in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Our grantmaking priorities mirror the needs of our community partners. To that end, the Foundation’s Community Responsive Grants prioritize:

* Primary healthcare for the economically disadvantaged
* Mental health and behavioral health
* Dental care and oral health
* Healthcare workforce
* Human services

* Applicants must have a 501c3 and serve people within Northeast Pennsylvania.

* Moses Taylor Foundation is based in Scranton, Pennsylvania and has a primary interest in Lackawanna County. Additionally, the Foundation serves the following Northeastern Pennsylvania counties: Bradford, Carbon, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming.
* The Foundation makes operating grants, program grants, capital grants and capacity building grants.

Ineligibility

* The Foundation will not fund individuals, religious organizations for religious or evangelical purposes, fundraising events, endowment funds, research, or debt retirement.
