Overview:
UNeMed awards $10,000 in unrestricted research funds to the inventor or group of inventors who submit the most promising invention. The award was introduced in 2008 to promote the disclosure of new inventions to UNeMed.

Eligibility:

All UNMC faculty, students, and staff are eligible

UNO researchers, faculty, and staff may also be eligible

All invention types are considered, with emphasis on:

Inventions with potential benefits to the public good

Inventions with strong patent potential

Inventions with market potential

What They Fund:

Unrestricted research funds for promising new inventions

Award Announcement:
The award is announced and presented at the Innovation Awards ceremony in October
