MOS Scholarships for Educators Grant

The Maryland Ornithological Society (MOS) is offering six scholarships for Maryland teachers and naturalists to attend summer workshops on Hog Island, Maine. These scholarships cover tuition, room, and board for a six-day course focused on ecology, ornithology, and conservation. Recipients are responsible for travel costs, but a stipend of up to $300 is available for those who apply. The Maryland Ornithological Society (MOS) will award six ecology or ornithology scholarships to Maryland teachers and naturalists for summer workshops at the National Audubon Society’s camp on Hog Island in Maine. Each award covers the cost of tuition, room and board for an extensive six-day course of study and instruction in ornithology, ecology, conservation, and natural history. Travel arrangements and costs are the recipient’s responsibility; however there will be a modest travel stipend of up to $300 available to applicants who request it.
